David Baldacci another amazing writer has done it again. The Forgotten is an intrigung book one that I couldnt put down. The main character Puller story is strong and the way David weaves in the issue of aging parent’s with failing memories is well done.
This story has what I call a teaser that is laced throughout. It keeps referring to a hard fought case that Puller just closed that almost makes you want to put this book down just find out what happened. It seems a little distracting but who knows maybe he is setting the ground work for a follow up.
This book is full of intriguing character’s and a great plot.
On my must read scale of 1 don’t bother and 5 a true page turner. I give “The Forgotten” a 3.5.
As you may have figured out from my post I am a huge James Patterson fan and it was the Alex Cross series of books is what made me such a fan. The latest in the series Cross my Heart is a true page turner. You simply wont put it down or at least I didn’t. All of the characters in this latest book are well written and very strong and the plot is so twisted yet complex it will blow your mind.
Without giving too much away. This book puts Alex up against a mad man that’s lurking in the shadows waiting, planing, stalking and dreaming of destroying our hero from within. All the while Alex is trying to figure how a string of children kidnappings is connected to a murder of high-profile sports star and legend in a massage parlor along with its entire staff.
On my must read scale of 1 don’t bother and 5 a true page turner. I give Cross my Heart a solid 5.
